Gabriel Rivera is Rutgers’ rising bat with legit pop and a steady glove
In the 2026 season, Rutgers freshman INF Gabriel Rivera has already shown he can hit for average and impact, batting .310 in 31 games with 2 home runs, 6 doubles and 10 RBIs, then backing it up in summer ball by winning the 2026 PGCBL Player of the Year after hitting .378 with 10 homers and 44 RBIs. He’s a 6-3, 215-pound right-handed hitter with middle-infield versatility, but the real draw is his emerging power-to-contact mix and ability to produce in big moments. If you want an infielder with upside, strength, and a bat trending loud, Rivera is absolutely worth the hype.
