Savannah State F Jordan Gaines: Solid Rebounding Forward in Modest 2025-26 Output

Jordan Gaines, a 6-7 freshman forward for the Savannah State Tigers from East Point, GA, is averaging 2.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 38.8% FG in the 2025-26 season per ESPN stats—modest numbers reflecting his developmental role on a rebuilding squad. His high school pedigree shines through with 13.7 PPG and 4.8 RPG at Northside (MaxPreps) and earlier 17 PPG dominance (NCSA 2017), highlighting rebounding tenacity and scoring upside. Athletic, versatile at SG/SF previously, Gaines brings hustle and business-savvy maturity (majoring in marketing); a low-risk, high-motor fit for mid-major teams seeking raw potential without injury red flags.
