Thunderous Dunker & Senior Co-Captain for NJIT Highlanders
Rob Ukawuba, the senior co-captain and guard for NJIT Highlanders, stands out as arguably the most thunderous dunker in NJIT history and a top 'sixth man' in the ASUN during the 2015-16 season, averaging 7.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.4 assists with a 47.1% field goal rate [2][3]. Known for his toughness, athleticism, and intensity—evidenced by 3 blocks in a key win over Boston University in 2016—he brings a high-energy, defensive presence that complements his scoring [1][4]. His high school dominance (16.6 PPG, 2.9 steals in 2012-13) and reputation as 'Rugged Rob' highlight a personality built on resilience and leadership, making him a perfect fit for teams needing intensity, defensive grit, and a reliable veteran voice [5][7].
