6-foot-7 lefty Caleb Pica gives Lipscomb a long-levered, strike-throwing look
In the 2026 season, Caleb Pica posted a 3.46 ERA in 13 innings with 13 strikeouts across six appearances and one start for Lipscomb, and his 6-foot-7 frame gives him a high-upside left-handed look that can be tough on lineups[1]. He also showed flashes of swing-and-miss stuff in longer outings, including a season-high five innings against Bellarmine and four strikeouts vs. Tennessee Tech[1]. For a team that values matchup versatility and a pitcher with starter traits, Pica is interesting; for a team needing a polished workhorse right now, he still looks more like a developing arm than a finished product[1][2].
