James Wilson is giving Jacksonville State a live right-hander with swing-and-miss upside
In the 2026 season, Jacksonville State RHP James Wilson has logged 14 strikeouts in 14.1 innings across six appearances, including a six-strikeout outing against Alabama A&M, showing a power arm that can miss bats when his stuff is right.[1] In 2025, he worked as a versatile bullpen weapon and spot starter, posting a 4.18 ERA, a .201 opponent average, and 41 strikeouts in 47.1 innings, which tells you he can compete and absorb innings without getting rattled.[1] At 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, the redshirt junior brings a sturdy frame, experience, and a track record of attacking hitters—useful if a team wants a pitcher with upside, not just a radar-gun rumor.[1]
