FGCU infielder Andrew Sheffield brings strength, versatility, and upside
Andrew Sheffield is a redshirt freshman infielder at Florida Gulf Coast who did not appear in the 2026 season, so the evaluation leans more on his pre-college profile than college production.[9] At East Lake, he showed solid high-school production with a .350 batting average, .430 on-base percentage, 36 hits, and 14 RBIs, while recruiting reports point to standout defensive arm strength and good athletic tools for his size.[1][5] He looks like a compact, high-motor fit who could help a roster with infield flexibility and toughness, though his current college impact remains an open question because he has not yet logged game stats at FGCU.[2][9]
