CJ Brown brings veteran polish and late-inning bite to CSUB’s staff
In the 2026 season, CJ Brown has been a steady, multi-inning right-hander for Cal State Bakersfield, working to a 3.82 ERA over 30.2 innings with 34 strikeouts and a 2-2 record, including a five-inning win over Fresno State on May 5, 2026. He profiles as a tough, experienced arm who can help a staff with length and composure; CSUB has leaned on him in higher-leverage spots, and his junior-college résumé suggests he’s battle-tested rather than flashy. Good fit if you want a dependable strike-thrower with real game experience.
