Brian Heckelman is Towson’s run-producing backstop with middle-of-the-order pop
In the 2025 season, Brian Heckelman emerged as Towson’s offensive engine from behind the plate, leading the team in batting average (.365), on-base percentage (.442), slugging (.588), RBIs (42), extra-base hits (20) and total bases (100), then followed it up in 2026 with another All-CAA year and a week where he hit .500 with three homers and five RBIs against Hofstra.[6][5][13] He’s not just a bat-first catcher either: Towson notes he caught runners stealing at a 22.8% clip in 2025, which adds real value to a lineup that wants impact offense and competent defense in the same jersey.[11][14]
