Umoja Gibson is a proven shot-maker and table-setter — but he’s no longer at DePaul
In the 2022-23 season, Umoja Gibson gave DePaul veteran guard play, averaging 15.8 points and 4.7 assists while shooting 41.6% from three on high volume, a strong sign of his value as a pick-and-pop spacer and secondary creator. He later moved on to the pro ranks, so the key question for any team is less about upside and more about fit: he brings poise, deep-range shooting, and steady ball security, but he’s a smaller guard who works best in a system that values pace, spacing, and decision-making.
