App State’s Ice-Cold Lefty Dominating 2026 with 7 ER-Free Outings
Jake Beaty, App State’s 6’2” left-handed pitcher, is the 2026 season’s most reliable arm, allowing zero earned runs in seven of nine outings while posting a 4.91 ERA over 14.2 innings. His differentiators aren’t just stats: he throws with intense focus, rarely showing emotion under pressure, and has a quiet, workmanlike personality that coaches trust in high-leverage spots. Though he entered the season with minor shoulder fatigue from spring training, he’s fully recovered and now pitches with renewed intensity. Beaty’s calm demeanor and clutch performance make him a perfect fit for teams needing a steady lefty who doesn’t panic when the game tightens.
