Josh Hoffmann brings gritty two-way versatility and timely bat for New Orleans
In the 2026 season, New Orleans catcher/pitcher Josh Hoffmann has been a clutch contact bat and high-intensity glue guy, hitting .200 with 7 RBI in 16 games (14 starts) while delivering a walk-off single against Troy and a four-RBI night versus HCU. The bigger story is the fit: a two-time All-Region selection with a .341 batting average and .553 slugging at Delgado last season, Hoffmann adds toughness, versatility, and competitive edge behind the plate and on the mound. He looks like the kind of player teammates trust when the game gets messy.
