Serena Rodriguez gives Morgan State a versatile, high-upside arm with outfield value
In the 2026 season, Morgan State’s Serena Rodriguez has emerged as a multi-use piece in the Bears’ pitching staff and lineup, but her most recent MEAC weekly honors went to teammate Maddy Morris, while Rodriguez was recognized as Pitcher of the Week after a 14-inning stretch that included five strikeouts and one complete game. A California product with two-way experience, she fits the profile of a flexible roster fit: someone who can help in the circle and in the field, with the upside to grow into a more consistent impact arm as the season develops.
