Cal Amborn brings strike-throwing upside and bullpen length to San Francisco
In the 2026 season, Cal Amborn has been a usable right-handed bullpen arm for the San Francisco Dons, highlighted by a three-inning relief outing with one hit allowed and a strikeout against UC Riverside, but his season line also shows command and contact-management growing pains with a 6.49 ERA over 26.1 innings. He’s a 6-foot-4, right-handed pitcher with a starter’s frame, and the appeal is his ability to give you innings, not just a one-batter cameo. If your team wants a live arm with size and development runway, he’s interesting; if you need immediate polish, the numbers say “project,” not “finished product.”
