Chase Roberts brings top-10 New Jersey shortstop pedigree to Penn State
Roberts arrives at Penn State as a defense-first infielder with real bat pop for his age, coming out of Shawnee as a top-10 New Jersey shortstop prospect and a senior line of 4 homers, 14 RBI, and a 1.24 ERA on the mound in 2025. His profile suggests a tough, versatile player with leverage in the swing and enough arm/athleticism to stick on the left side of the infield, which makes him an interesting fit for a program that values upside and adaptability.
