Carter Jula is FSU’s holder-turned-roster piece with upside, but not a live-game résumé yet
Florida State lists Carter Jula as a junior punter from Sarasota, but the key note is that he has not made a collegiate appearance yet, even after stops at Nevada in 2024 and UNLV in 2025; FSU also notes he was a 4.5-star punter at the Kohl’s Southern Showcase. In the 2026 preseason depth chart, he’s shown as the No. 1 holder rather than the starting punter, which suggests value on special teams and trust in operation speed, but also that his biggest impact so far is in practice and behind the scenes, not on Saturdays.
