Dorian James is a proven North Florida veteran who finished his UNF career as the program’s all-time games played leader and ranked among the school’s top 10 in minutes, rebounds, defensive rebounds, and blocks.[6] In the 2023-24 season, he averaged 10.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.3 blocks while shooting 53.6% from the field and 48.1% from three, rare efficiency for a 6'7" swingman.[3][5][6] His value is versatility: he scores efficiently, rebounds his position, protects the rim, and gives lineups a mature, high-IQ glue piece rather than a high-usage scorer.[6][12]
