Elite 3-Point Shooter & High-Intensity Guard for Austin Peay
Tariq Silver, a 6'5" guard for the Austin Peay Governors, stands out as the team's most prolific three-point shooter, having led the squad with 60 three-pointers in the 2021-22 season while averaging 8.9 points and 2.1 rebounds in 18 games that year[6][7]. His differentiator is not just volume shooting but an intense, high-energy playing style that generated 20 steals and 57 assists, showcasing his defensive tenacity and court vision beyond basic stats[6]. Silver's personality is defined by relentless hustle; he consistently plays with maximum intensity, making him a perfect fit for teams needing a guard who can pressure the ball and stretch the floor simultaneously. While his recent college stats show modest averages (5.3 PPG, 38.6% FG) in the 2025-26 season, his proven track record as a top-tier shooter and his 24-point explosion against Tennessee-Martin (5 rebounds, 6 assists) highlight his game-breaking potential when in rhythm[2][4]. You should care about Silver because he offers a rare blend of shooting range and defensive aggression, making him an ideal fit for any team seeking a versatile, high-intensity guard who can elevate the offense with his shooting and disrupt opponents with his steals.
