Ava Mullen gives Iowa State a battle-tested righty with room to rise
Ava Mullen, the Michigan State transfer now in Iowa State’s 2026 rotation, brings a durable right-handed arm and has already logged meaningful innings for the Cyclones, including starts in Big 12 play. In the 2026 season, she has shown flashes of poise and competitiveness, and Iowa State has leaned on her as a reliable presence in the circle. Her appeal is less about overpowering numbers and more about steadiness, experience, and a starter’s mentality; she looks like the kind of pitcher who can keep you in games while her command and consistency climb.
