Montino Williams is emerging as a long, physical safety with room to grow
In the 2026 season, Virginia sophomore Montino Williams has cracked the two-deep after an offseason physical transformation and impressed in fall camp, with a bigger role expected in the Cavaliers’ secondary. The 6-foot-3 defensive back brings rare size for the position, plays with a versatile safety/cornerback profile, and has already shown he can contribute on special teams and in rotational snaps. As a true fit for a team that values length, physicality, and developmental upside, he looks like a sleeper whose best football may still be ahead of him.
