High School Scoring Legend Transitioning to St. John's Depth Role
Sean Conway, a Connecticut high school scoring phenom who averaged 31.5 points per game as a senior to lead the state and become his program's all-time leading scorer with nearly 1,200 points, brings elite shooting and basketball IQ to St. John's Red Storm. In the 2023-24 season, he appeared in 25 games (3 starts), averaging 2.0 points and 1.5 rebounds while shooting efficiently in limited minutes off the bench for the Big East power. His prior VMI tenure showcased career highs like 28 points and double-doubles, highlighting relentless intensity and 3-point prowess (up to 6 made in a game)—a gritty, high-character guard perfect for teams needing proven shooters and competitors.
