Bucknell’s bullpen arm trending up after a bumpy debut
In the 2026 season, sophomore RHP Bryce Mitchell showed real bullpen value for Bucknell, earning Patriot League Pitcher of the Week honors after a 2-0 stretch and a 4.0-inning, four-strikeout win over Lehigh; he also delivered 2.2 scoreless innings with two strikeouts in an 18-1 loss to Army, a sign of toughness in tough spots. He’s not yet a finished product, but his ability to handle multi-inning relief, miss bats, and bounce back from a rough freshman ERA makes him a useful fit for teams that want a competitive, innings-eating righty with upside.
