Marc Stephens brings steady shortstop production and clutch bat to South Alabama
In the 2026 season, Marc Stephens gave South Alabama reliable everyday value at shortstop, starting 55 games and hitting .305 with 60 hits, 9 doubles, 3 homers, and 28 RBI. He also showed he can deliver in key spots, including a season-high six-game hit streak and multiple run-driving knocks in conference play. The appeal here is balance: dependable defense, legitimate contact ability, and enough gap power to punish mistakes. If you want a middle-infield bat who plays with consistency and a little edge, Stephens looks like a solid fit.
