Texas Tech’s injured lefty with real JUCO bite
Blakey is a 6-foot-2, 225-pound senior left-hander whose Texas Tech run has been stalled by a season-ending arm injury in spring 2026, so the immediate “current performance” read is unfortunately zero innings for the Red Raiders that season. But the upside is obvious: at Saddleback College in 2024, he posted a 5-2 record, 3 saves, a complete game, 75 strikeouts in 48.1 innings, and a 4.10 ERA, showing a real bat-missing lefty profile. If you need a power arm with proven swing-and-miss potential, he’s intriguing; if you need healthy certainty, that’s the red flag.
