TSU legend turned NBA-level difference-maker
Robert Covington isn’t a current Tennessee State roster player; he’s a TSU alum whose Tigers career still screams “pro-ready forward.” In his final college season in 2012-13, he averaged 17.0 points and 7.9 rebounds while missing 10 games with a knee injury, yet still earned All-OVC honors and finished as one of the program’s all-time leaders in scoring and rebounding. The big draw: versatile two-way impact, length, steals, and a fearless motor that translated all the way to an NBA All-Defensive First Team nod.
