Power-Hitting 1B with SEC Provenance and NIU Debut Ahead
Kade Schneider is a 6-5, 195-lb right-handed infielder (primarily 1B) for the Northern Illinois Huskies, transitioning from Southeastern CC where he posted a .375 batting average with 8 HR and 54 RBI in 58 games [6]. His standout differentiator is elite raw power and a massive frame that projects as a run-producer at the college level, complemented by a 2027 graduation class status indicating he’s building toward peak development [1]. While official NIU stats aren’t yet available [3], his SEC intensity and consistency (44 runs, 4 SB) suggest a high-floor player who brings physicality and clutch hitting. Ideal for teams needing a power-first infielder with room to grow; his personality is grounded but competitive, per his X profile noting his 225-lb playing weight and dual-school journey [4]. Injury history is unreported, but his durability over 58 SEC games implies resilience.
