Blaine Albright brings left-handed power, but 2026 has been a grind
In the 2026 season, Marshall LHP Blaine Albright has shown the arm talent coaches covet, but the results have been uneven: he logged 14 appearances, 4 starts, a 1-3 record, 7.92 ERA, 23 strikeouts, and 25 walks in 25 innings. He’s a big-bodied southpaw at 6-foot-3, 225 pounds who flashed better moments in relief in 2025, when he struck out 20 in 17 innings across 17 appearances. The fit question is simple: if your staff wants a projectable lefty with strikeout upside and a track record of getting outs in the bullpen, he’s intriguing; if command is non-negotiable, the walk rate is the red flag.
