Trae Burton is a 6-foot-3, left-handed pitcher whose profile pops because of projectability, a long frame, and a deceptive over-the-top slot that evaluators flagged as a true LH arm talent in the 2022 prep reports. In 2025 at Jackson State, he logged 42.1 innings with 41 strikeouts but also 42 walks and an 8.93 ERA, so the raw stuff is there, yet his consistency and strike throwing remain the big separator for whether he fits a high-leverage role. He’s still the kind of arm a coaching staff can bet on if it wants upside and is willing to coach the rough edges.
