Texas Tech’s steady, versatile last line of defense
Brenden Jordan looks like a plug-and-play safety for Texas Tech in the 2026 season: a 6-foot, 205-pound senior who started 14 games last year, logged 59 tackles, and was ranked No. 4 among the Big 12’s returning safeties by PFF with an 82.3 grade. He’s valuable because he brings versatility, having played star and field safety, and he’s praised as a veteran leader who keeps the Red Raiders organized in the secondary. If you want a reliable, physical back-end defender with experience and flexibility, he fits nicely.
