Maddox Webb brings late-inning strikeout juice to Mississippi State
Webb is a right-handed bullpen arm for Mississippi State who earned a 2025 All-SoCon nod at The Citadel and arrived in Starkville with real relief-pitcher mileage: in the 2025 season, he logged 55.2 innings, went 4-1 with five saves, and struck out 61 batters. Mississippi State’s 2026 roster notes list him at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, and he was on the NCBWA Stopper of the Year watch list, which fits the profile of a trusted leverage arm. The draw is simple: he has been battle-tested, competitive, and effective enough to handle meaningful outs.
