Owen King brings steady guard play and disruptive defense to South Dakota State
King is a dependable, team-first guard whose value goes beyond scoring: at Winona State in 2022-23, he played in and started 23 games, averaged 5.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, and added 70 assists with 34 steals, showing real two-way impact and feel for the game. He previously logged minutes in South Dakota State’s rotation, and his profile suggests a smart, low-drama connector who can handle the ball, make winning plays, and defend with activity. He fits best with teams that want poise, versatility, and effort over flash.
