Kalif Wright brings size, old-school grit, and frontcourt muscle to Miami (OH)
Kalif Wright is a 6-7, 235-pound senior forward whose value is built on physicality, rebounding, and toughness more than flash; Miami’s roster lists him as a veteran presence out of Oak Hill, W.Va.[1] The clearest statistical snapshot available shows modest production in his Miami stint, with 2.9 points and 1.7 rebounds per game in the 2014-15 season, after he arrived from Kilgore College where he posted 10.1 points and 5.2 rebounds per game on 55.3% shooting in 2013-14.[1] He looks like a fit for a team needing a sturdy, low-maintenance frontcourt piece who can do the dirty work and keep possessions alive, even if he is not a high-usage scorer.[1][2]
