Tulane freshman OF Evan Burg brings Louisiana pedigree, defensive reliability, and upside
In the 2026 season, Evan Burg appeared in 27 games with three starts for Tulane, and the early read is a glove-first outfielder with local-recruit pedigree and room to grow at the plate. Tulane and D1Baseball both note he entered the year as a freshman to watch, while Perfect Game labeled him a top Louisiana outfield prospect coming out of Archbishop Rummel. He’s the kind of player a staff can like quickly: athletic, competitive, and versatile enough to earn trust early, even while his offensive game is still developing.
