Fayz Baig is a young lefty with upside and a live arm at LIU
Fayz Baig is listed on Long Island University’s 2026 baseball roster as a 6-foot-3 freshman left-handed pitcher, and recruiting notes say his arm strength has climbed to a reported top velocity of 83 mph.[2][3] That profile suggests a developmental arm with projection rather than a finished product, which makes him interesting if you want size, a left-handed look, and long-term bullpen or rotation potential.[2][3] There were no current season statistics available on the LIU roster page, so the real story here is upside and growth: a young pitcher with room to add velocity and polish, not a stat-sheet star yet.[2]
