Ryan Speshyock brings swing-and-miss upside from the right side
Speshyock looks like a useful, high-leverage arm for Stanford because he has already shown real bat-missing ability: in 2025, he struck out 38 hitters in 27 innings, and in a Feb. 17, 2025 outing against Cal State Fullerton he fanned six in 3.2 innings while allowing just one unearned run. He’s a competitive right-hander with enough stuff to miss bats in bursts, which makes him intriguing for teams that value strikeout upside and bullpen flexibility. The flag? His results have been uneven, so the fit is best for a staff that can polish consistency.
