David James has been St. Bonaventure’s workhorse starter with swing-and-miss stuff
In 2026, the St. Bonaventure right-hander has been a dependable rotation anchor, posting 72 strikeouts in 75.1 innings with a 4.30 ERA, while another team report credited him with 13 starts, a 3.86 ERA and 70 strikeouts in 72 innings; either way, the profile is clear: he misses bats, takes the ball regularly, and gives his team innings. He’s a 6'3" righty who also showed a strong Cape Cod League pedigree, which suggests legitimate competitive upside and a pitcher built for meaningful workloads.
