John Gonzalez brings fresh-arm upside to Alabama State’s bullpen
In the 2026 season, Alabama State left-hander John Gonzalez is a freshman bullpen arm with no season statistics yet, but he already logged a decision in SWAC play and profiles as a 5'11", 180-pound L/L pitcher from Central Pointe Christian Academy who adds depth and potential to the Hornets’ staff. His best value is the left-handed look and developmental upside rather than a stat line, making him more of a fit for teams seeking a projectable arm than an instant-impact ace.
