Simon Aluko gives FGCU a lefty relief weapon with strikeout juice
In the 2026 season, Simon Aluko has been a high-variance but useful bullpen piece for Florida Gulf Coast, logging 8 innings with 10 strikeouts, 14 walks, and 11 earned runs allowed, plus his first save in an Eagles uniform. The standout trait is obvious: bat-missing ability, which showed up in key spots even when command wobbled. At 6-foot-3 and 220 pounds, he brings a power look and a sidearm slot that can make him a tricky matchup for lefties and righties alike. If your team wants upside and deception, he’s interesting; if you need polished control, the fit is less clean.
