Joseph Barbarino brings FDU a strike-throwing, multi-inning righty with upside
Barbarino’s 2026 line shows a workhorse reliever/starter profile for Fairleigh Dickinson: 37.1 innings, 14 strikeouts, and a 6.75 ERA, while his 2025 season included 11 appearances, two starts, 12 strikeouts in 19.1 innings, and back-to-back scoreless outings. The appeal is less about dominant bat-missing right now and more about usable innings, versatility, and room to add strength at a 6-foot, 165-pound frame. For a team that wants a developing right-hander who can compete, absorb innings, and still has projection left, he’s a reasonable fit.
