Abigail Carsley brings proven power and defensive versatility to Portland State
Carsley is a redshirt sophomore utility player who gives Portland State real lineup value because she can impact games both at catcher and first base, and her bat has shown legitimate pop: in 2026 she earned All-Big Sky honorable mention after hitting .325 in conference play with a team-high five home runs and 12 RBI in league games. She also owns elite high school power credentials, including Oregon’s single-season and career home run records, which makes her a credible fit for teams needing middle-order threat and flexible defensive coverage.
