Ava Hernandez is emerging as a high-upside, run-preventing force in the circle for Incarnate Word
Ava Hernandez’s most recent standout performance came in 2026, when she threw a one-hit shutout in a 2-0 win over Menlo, showing the kind of command and game-changing efficiency that makes a pitcher valuable beyond raw stats. Her differentiator is run prevention: when she’s sharp, she can completely shut an opponent down, which is exactly the profile coaches want in a rotation anchor or matchup specialist. Based on the available reporting, she looks like a strong fit for teams that value poise, control, and the ability to take over a game from the circle.
