Jayden Sumpter is Georgetown’s compact, high-volume spark plug in the backfield
In the 2025 season, Jayden Sumpter emerged as a reliable all-purpose weapon for Georgetown, finishing with 189 rushing yards and 41 receiving yards while showing he can handle volume, including a 25-carry, 103-yard, 1-TD outing against Columbia. At 5-foot-8 and 199 pounds, his game is built on quickness, balance, and toughness rather than flash, and the Hoyas have trusted him in both the run and pass game. He looks like a fit for a team that values steady production, versatility, and a low-drama, high-effort runner.
