tiny guard, big-energy connector for Providence
Padilla is a 5-5 guard from Newton, Mass., listed as a junior on Providence’s 2026-27 roster, and her profile reads like a classic glue-player with upside: quick, local, and battle-tested from a high-production prep career where she averaged 12.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists as a senior. In the 2025-26 season, she appeared in two games and logged her first career assist against Marquette, so the sample is still tiny—but the broader appeal is her feel, pace, and playmaking instincts, not headline stats. She looks like a fit for teams that value toughness, IQ, and developmental guard depth.
