P.J. Byrd brings steady guard production and playmaking to Southern
In the 2025-26 season, P.J. Byrd is giving Southern a reliable backcourt engine with about 4.9 points and 2.7 assists per game, and his game log suggests he can also spike as a creator when the offense runs through him. He’s a 6-1 guard with a reputation for toughness, experience, and doing a little of everything rather than hunting empty stats. If a team wants a composed, team-first floor general who can handle the ball, distribute, and compete hard, Byrd fits the bill.
