Sean Ely’s sneaky-deep value: a compact left-hander grinding through meaningful innings for Delaware State
In the 2026 season, Sean Ely has been a workhorse-style bullpen arm for Delaware State, appearing in 15 games and logging 23.1 innings with a 10.80 ERA, 9 strikeouts, and 15 walks. The upside is the frame-to-production intrigue: at 5'8", he’s not built like the stereotypical power pitcher, but he’s shown enough bite to earn real innings and even throw 1.2 scoreless against Maryland-Eastern Shore in April 2026. If your team wants an undersized competitor who keeps attacking the zone and isn’t afraid of leverage, he’s worth a look.
