Carter Kocik brings versatile utility depth to Mercyhurst
Carter Kocik enters the 2026 season as a useful roster-piece for Mercyhurst, listed as a right-handed UTL option wearing No. 40[1]. Prep Baseball Report’s 2022 profile showed an athletic build, a max exit velocity of 89–90 mph, and a controlled, leg-kick-driven swing, which hints at playable bat speed and some offensive upside[2]. The big reason to care: he profiles as a flexible, adaptable defender who can help a team in multiple spots rather than forcing the lineup to fit around him[1][2].
