Penn lefty Kai Nee arrives with proven strike-throwing pedigree and New England polish
Kai Nee, a 6-foot, 185-pound left-hander for Penn, brings a résumé built on command and competitive edge: Penn lists him as a sophomore for 2027, and his prep profile notes 139 strikeouts with a 1.77 ERA plus first-team All-FCIAC and All-State honors in 2024 and 2025. Reliable preseason coverage called him the fifth-rated senior LHP in New England and highlighted a 5-1, 1.25 ERA season at Staples, which points to a pitcher who can miss bats and handle pressure. He did not see game action in 2026, so he’s more upside-and-fit than finished product.
