Joseana Vaz is EKU’s two-way engine with a scoring punch
Joseana Vaz has emerged as a high-impact forward for Eastern Kentucky in the 2025-26 season, leading the Colonels in scoring at 14.2 points per game and adding 6.7 rebounds per game while also flashing real defensive disruption and shot versatility. In February 2026, she posted a career-high 33 points against Austin Peay and later followed with a 22-point, six-steal outing, which says plenty about her motor, toughness, and ability to take over games. Add in her experience with Cape Verde’s national team and three-plus years of college production, and she looks like a fit for teams needing an efficient, competitive, veteran frontcourt piece.
