Durable, battle-tested interior OL who helped power NIU’s run game
Zschernitz was a high-volume, high-trust lineman for Northern Illinois, appearing in 52 games with 46 starts and earning All-MAC honors three times, including second-team recognition in 2024 after moving from right guard to center. His best calling card is reliability: NIU’s line helped produce a top-tier rushing attack, limit sacks, and fuel the upset of No. 5 Notre Dame in 2024. He also brings wrestling-built leverage, toughness, and technique—traits that translate well to pro-style trench play and make him a strong fit for teams needing a dependable interior anchor.
