Wake Forest’s Evan Jones is a high-upside freshman righty with USA Baseball buzz
Evan Jones, a 6-foot-3 right-handed pitcher from Audubon, Pa., flashed real swing-and-miss stuff in 2026, including a five-strikeout outing over 2.1 innings in relief against Florida State, and he earned a spot on the 2026 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team training camp roster. His profile screams projection: clean size, power arm traits, and enough present stuff that evaluators already see pro upside, with Baseball America calling him a solid blend of now stuff and future projection. If you want a developmental arm with serious ceiling, he’s a fun one.
