Ty Powell brings on-base pop, defensive value, and proven winner instincts to Texas State
Ty Powell enters Texas State with a strong all-around résumé: in 2025 he was a high school stand out with a .327 batting average, .507 on-base percentage, 22 RBI, and a .941 fielding percentage, while his prep bio also notes a .354/.520/.484 slash line across three seasons and district MVP honors. He was a 2025 Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association 6A Second Team All-State pick and also starred as a pitcher, including a perfect-game playoff outing, so the appeal is versatility, competitiveness, and winning pedigree—not just bat-to-ball numbers. If you want an infielder who can get on base and bring edge, he fits the bill.
